3D MULTIDISCIPLINARY COORDINATION

In a 3D multidisciplinary coordination  process each discipline’s model references the other discipline (landscape, civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, controls) in a specialized clash detection software.

As a result of a clash detection, interferences, spatial conflicts, restraints and sequencing issues can be visually identified, shared with responsible parties and resolved in the models long before the actual work on site is scheduled.

It is also applicable in retrofit projects through comparison of existing conditions from the scan data with the “new design” model.
